Freedom Ball Goes BIG this Sunday in Shatin

What are you doing Sunday? Want to play with balls in one of Hong Kong’s parks? Want to break the rules? Read on.

The largest Freedom Ball event ever will be held on 22nd November from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm at Shatin Park.

Freedom Ball takes the campaign to open up Hong Kong’s parks and public spaces to the next level.

“We now have one thousand balls at our disposal. We only had a few balls when we challenged the rules before,” said David Biddlecombe, who started the movement.

More information can be found on the website http://freedomball.blogspot.com/

A parent and educator, David started the movement last year after becoming frustrated with the excessive regulation of Hong Kong parks. “From school textbooks to park signs, we’re constantly telling children all the things they can’t do in parks. We want to bring some positivity to public space.”

David invites everyone to join him on Sunday, grab a ball, and play.

David Biddlecombe,
