Beyond places of worship, Hong Kong has little experience with conservation. As a result, there are few guidelines and many ideas on how to balance minimum intervention and the adaptive re-use of our growing list of heritage sites.

How do we give heritage buildings a new life and a new purpose?

The public, government, property owners, architects, surveyors, and engineers will have to come to terms with how we are going to make our choices in Hong Kong.
