CitySpeak: The Battle for West Kowloon 30 October 2010, 10:00am-12:30pm, Fringe Club The teams of Rocco Yim, Rem Koolhaas and Norman Foster will join CitySpeak to discuss their concept for the West Kowloon Cultural District. They will be queried by three critics: Vincent Ng (architect), Oren Tatcher (architect), and Paul Zimmerman (urbanist). The three teams have been briefed on the following questions: 1. Why deviate from the brief? 2. What needs to be completed first to make the opening a success? 3. Which public spaces will (not) work? 4. Why would anyone want to be on the waterfront? 5. How accessible is the district? 6. How easy will it be to find your friends? 7. What will I remember from visiting the district? 8. More questions by the audience..
