The 3rd Hong Kong Public Space Symposium
Hong Kong Public Space Initiative organizes the 3rd Hong Kong Public Space Symposium with the theme "Privately Owned Public Space - Here & After". The symposium will feature two parts, each including a panel discussion that features guest speakers from various backgrounds. (AM Session) The Present: How to fix the current problems? will highlight the current conditions of POPS, and the pros and cons of current POPS management model. What can we do to re-activate the POPS? Members of HKPSI will also present findings of our audit on approximately 100 POPSs in Hong Kong. (PM Session) The Future – What to do with the new POPS? will explore feasible and cohesive planning between public space and private development through existing mechanisms. How can we ensure the quality of new POPS that will be provided in new private developments, potentially through changes to existing policy? Date:17th November 2018 (Saturday) About Hong Kong Public Space Initiative 拓展公共空間將舉辦第三屆香港公共空間研討會，主題為「私人發展公共空間：現在‧未來」。 研討會將分為上下午兩部分，每部分均有來自不同背景的客席講者在座談會上共議不同「私人發展公眾休憩空間」的可行性方案 。 (上午主題) 現在 – 如何解決當前的問題？ 將重點介紹私人發展公眾休憩空間的現狀，以及現行管理模式的利弊，我們應如何重新規劃或構思私人發展公眾休憩空間的可行性等。拓展公共空間成員亦會向公眾剖析較早前對約一百個私人發展公眾休憩空間進行的普查結果。 (下午主題) 未來 – 如何處理新的「私人發展公眾休憩空間」？ 將探討在現有機制下公共空間與私人發展項目之間的可行且具凝聚力的規劃方案。我們如何確保新私人發展項目中所提供的新私人發展公眾休憩空間的質量，並探討透過修訂現有政策是否最適當。 日期：2018年11月17日 (星期六) 關於拓展公共空間 |
