Heritage status urged for entire Pok Fu Lam Conduit
The Pokfulam Conduit built between the Pokfulam Reservoir and the Albany Tanks during 1876 and 1877, improved the supply of water to the City of Victoria. 在1876年至1877年間，政府在薄扶林水庫和阿彬彌食水抽水站之間建造了薄扶林管道，改善了維多利亞市的供水。
The Pok Fu Lam Conduit included 32 aqueducts to bridge over ravines and gullies between Pokfulam Reservoir and the West Point filter beds. Our survey shows that 16 are still intact. However, only number 9 is currently graded as a heritage structure. We have written to the Antiquities Advisory Board to ask for heritage status for the entire conduit, a popular hiking route, together with all remaining 16 aqueducts. 薄扶林管道系統有32條引水道，架於薄扶林水庫和濾水池之間的山谷和沖溝上。我們的調查顯示，其中16條引水道完整無損。可惜，目前只有9號被列為二級歷史建築。我們已去信給古物諮詢委員會，要求評估整條引水管道，行山路線以及所有剩餘的16條引水道的古蹟價值。 |

Pik Shan Path runs over the northern section of the Pok Fu Lam Conduit between Queen Mary and Po Shan Road. Hikers may recognize the original chiseled interlocking granite covers and the remaining aqueducts.碧珊徑橫穿薄扶林管道的北段，介乎瑪麗醫院及寶珊道之間。行山人士仔細觀察或會發現原來的岩石在花崗岩和引水道之間。

While sections of the conduit are still present, aqueducts 1 – 4 have been lost during construction of High West (HKU). Similarly, while sections of the conduit including its chiselled granite covers are still visible at Queen Mary hospital, aqueducts 10 – 17 appear to have been lost with hospital extensions. 雖然部份引水道仍然存在，但興建香港大學西苑期間破壞了1-4號引水道。同樣地雖然在瑪麗醫院仍可以看到部分管道，包括刻鑿的花崗岩，但隨著醫院的擴建，引水道10至17號亦快將失去。
Aqueducts 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 can be found between High West (HKU) and Queen Mary Hospital. Only No 9 is graded as a heritage structure. 至於5-9號引水道仍可在香港大學西苑和瑪麗醫院之間看到，但只有9號被列為二級歷史建築。
Eleven aqueducts remain between the hospital and the West Point Filter Beds where the staff quarters and manager’s bungalow are used as the Lung Fu Shan Environmental Education Centre. The original aqueducts numbers 23, 26, 28 and 31 were lost due to land slips and heavy rain. Remains of the conduit between the filter beds and the Albany tanks above Garden Road are hard to find. Following the construction of Conduit Road early last century the alignment of that section of the conduit disappeared from maps. 醫院和濾水池之間則保留了11條引水道，那裡附近曾經是員工宿舍和看守員的平房，現時用作龍虎山環境教育中心。引水道23、26、28和31號早已被山泥傾瀉和大雨破壞。現存的引水道已經很難在濾水池和花園道的阿彬彌食水抽水站上找得到。隨著上世紀初干德道的建設，那段引水道的路線逐漸從地圖上消失。 |
