Fixing the economy, one district at a time<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

With the pressure on employment, Hong Kong will need to rethink job opportunities. With three simple visuals we offer three reasons why District Councils must get involved:
\n1.    The number of job opportunities in their district.<\/p>\n

\n2.    The proportion of jobs taken up by local residents.<\/p>\n

\n3.    The proportion of local residents who work in their own district.<\/p>\n

\nEmployment is top heavy around Victoria Harbour. Residents working in their own district is especially evident in Central & Western and Tsim Sha Tsui. Districts with few job opportunities see most of those jobs taken up by local residents \u2013 up to 81% in Tuen Mun.<\/p>\n

These statistics do not answer all the questions. They do indicate the importance of district councillors to get involved. Understanding which industries can help improve employment requires a healthy amount of local knowledge (see details<\/a>).Growing local economies is not simply about arts and craft, community markets or tourism. The absence of floor space designated for commercial uses hampers job opportunities in the NT. In the Southern District it is about reorganising Aberdeen Harbour and allowing the marine industry to grow. The underutilised Tolo Harbour is an obvious opportunity in the Taipo District. These investments will directly benefit local residents.<\/p>\n

Each district has their own challenges and offer their own opportunities. It is upon the District Councillors and the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau to \u201cdeep dive\u201d district by district to develop a strategy and action plan to address the growing unemployment.

\u672c\u6e2f\u7d93\u6fdf\u53ca\u5c31\u696d\u5e02\u5834\u6301\u7e8c\u4f4e\u8ff7\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u9700\u8981\u91cd\u65b0\u601d\u8003\u767c\u5c55\u793e\u5340\u7d93\u6fdf\u7684\u53ef\u80fd\u6027\u3002\u901a\u904e\u4e09\u500b\u7c21\u55ae\u7684\u5730\u5716\uff0c\u8b93\u6211\u5011\u89e3\u91cb\u5340\u8b70\u6703\u70ba\u4f55\u61c9\u8a72\u5354\u52a9\u767c\u5c55\u5730\u5340\u7d93\u6fdf\uff1a

\u672c\u6e2f\u7684\u5c31\u696d\u96c6\u4e2d\u65bc\u7dad\u591a\u5229\u4e9e\u6e2f\u5169\u5cb8\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u7121\u8ad6\u662f\u8077\u4f4d\u6578\u76ee\u6216\u672c\u5340\u5c31\u696d\u767e\u5206\u6bd4\uff0c\u4e2d\u897f\u5340\u53ca\u6cb9\u5c16\u65fa\u5340\u90fd\u540d\u5217\u524d\u77db\u3002\u540c\u6642\uff0c\u65b0\u754c\u5340\u96d6\u7136\u5c31\u696d\u6a5f\u6703\u8f03\u5c11\uff0c\u4f46\u672c\u5730\u5c45\u6c11\u537b\u586b\u88dc\u4e86\u5927\u591a\u6578\u7684\u8077\u4f4d\uff0c\u7576\u4e2d\u5c6f\u9580\u5340\u7684\u6578\u64da\u66f4\u9ad8\u905481%\u3002<\/p>\n

\u9019\u4e9b\u6578\u64da\u96d6\u672a\u80fd\u5e36\u51fa\u89e3\u6c7a\u65b9\u6cd5\uff0c\u537b\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e86\u4e00\u500b\u6a5f\u9047\u8b93\u8b70\u54e1\u80fd\u5c0d\u75c7\u4e0b\u85e5\u3002\u8b70\u54e1\u80fd\u900f\u904e\u6574\u5408\u73fe\u6709\u7684\u8cc7\u6599\uff08\u6309\u6b64\u53c3\u95b1\u5404\u5340\u8a73\u7d30\u5c31\u696d\u8cc7\u8a0a<\/a>\uff09\uff0c\u5728\u5340\u5167\u9032\u884c\u7814\u7a76\u53ca\u5c0d\u7576\u5340\u7684\u4e86\u89e3\uff0c\u53bb\u63a8\u52d5\u8a72\u5340\u7684\u53ef\u6301\u7e8c\u5c31\u696d\u6a5f\u6703\u3002\u73fe\u6642\u5546\u696d\u7528\u7684\u6a13\u9762\u9762\u7a4d\u96c6\u4e2d\u5728\u6e2f\u4e5d\uff0c\u4ee4\u65b0\u754c\u7b49\u6b20\u7f3a\u5c31\u696d\u6a5f\u6703\uff0c\u56e0\u6b64\u767c\u5c55\u5730\u5340\u7d93\u6fdf\u4e26\u4e0d\u9650\u65bc\u958b\u62d3\u65b0\u7684\u5de5\u696d\u3001\u64f4\u95ca\u5340\u5167\u7684\u5e02\u5834\u6216\u767c\u5c55\u65c5\u904a\u696d\uff0c\u800c\u662f\u8981\u96c6\u4e2d\u8cc7\u6e90\u53bb\u767c\u6398\u5404\u5340\u7684\u512a\u52e2\u3002\u5728\u5357\u5340\u9019\u95dc\u4e4e\u9999\u6e2f\u4ed4\u6f01\u6e2f\u53ca\u5176\u4ed6\u6d77\u6d0b\u7522\u696d\u7684\u767c\u5c55\u3002\u800c\u5927\u57d4\u5340\u53ef\u80fd\u9700\u8981\u52a0\u4ee5\u5229\u7528\u5410\u9732\u6e2f\u9019\u500b\u5929\u7136\u8cc7\u6e90\u4e26\u6574\u5408\u73fe\u5b58\u7684\u5de5\u696d\u3002<\/p>\n
