Hong Kong Island Coastal Trail \u2013 Progress Update (August 2021)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Designing Hong Kong is working hard to improve the Hong Kong Island Coastal Trail. Below is a progress update.<\/p>\n

Major improvement works<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Sandy Bay to Telegraph Bay<\/strong> under study. (Invigorate Island South Office)<\/li>\n
  2. Waterfall Bay Bridge<\/strong> link between Cyberport Port Road and Waterfall Bay Park is pending agreement on maintenance. (Leisure and Cultural Services Department)<\/li>\n
  3. Cape D\u2019Aguilar – Shek O Trail<\/strong> is approved in principle and awaiting funding under the District Minor Work programme. (Home Affairs Department)<\/li>\n
  4. Museum of Coastal Defence <\/strong>access route has been denied (Leisure and Cultural Services Department). For now people will have to rely on trails along the Island Eastern Corridor.<\/li>\n
  5. Boardwalk under Island East Corridor <\/strong>has been gazetted and is expected to be opened in 2024. (Civil Engineering Development Department)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Minor improvement works<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Shun Tak Centre <\/strong>illegal parking has been resolved. Further pedestrian improvement is pending the land owner. (Shun Tak Holdings)<\/li>\n
    2. Western Water Selling Kiosk <\/strong>footpath widening has been confirmed and is pending works. (Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Water Supplies Department)<\/li>\n
    3. Connecting Kennedy Town Praya to China Merchant Wharf <\/strong>is approved as a District Minor Works programme and pending funding. (Home Affairs Department)<\/li>\n
    4. Waterfall Bay<\/strong> removal of fences to improve beach access is pending reply. (Leisure and Cultural Services Department)<\/li>\n
    5. Wong Chuk Hang Road and Island Road<\/strong> widening of the footpath is supported by Ocean Park (they will surrender part of their nursery). Implementation is pending. (Transport Department)<\/li>\n
    6. Deep Water Bay<\/strong> re-organising road, footpath, parking and beach amenities is pending outcome of the Study of Coastal Hazards under Climate Change and Extreme Weather and Formulation of Improvement Measures – Feasibility Study.<\/em> (Civil Engineering Development Department)<\/li>\n

          3. \u4e2d\u897f\u5340\u5340\u8b70\u6703\u5df2\u901a\u904e\u64a5\u6b3e\u5728\u52a0\u591a\u8fd1\u8857\u81e8\u6642\u82b1\u5712\u5c0d\u51fa\u8208\u5efa\u81e8\u6642\u6d77\u6ff1<\/strong>\uff0c\u4e26\u9023\u63a5\u5230\u5373\u5c07\u91cd\u5efa\u7684\u62db\u5546\u5c40\u78bc\u982d\u6d77\u6ff1\u3002<\/li>\n
          4. \u5c31\u62c6\u9664\u7011\u5e03\u7063\u516c\u5712\u5167\u7684\u9421\u9598<\/strong>\uff0c\u6211\u5011\u5df2\u53bb\u4fe1\u5eb7\u6a02\u53ca\u6587\u5316\u4e8b\u52d9\u7f72\uff0c\u4e26\u6b63\u7b49\u5019\u90e8\u9580\u7684\u56de\u61c9\u3002<\/li>\n
          5. \u9ec3\u7af9\u5751\u9053\u548c\u9999\u5cf6\u9053<\/strong>\u90e8\u4efd\u5730\u65b9\u7684\u884c\u4eba\u8def\u56e0\u9130\u8fd1\u7684\u77ed\u671f\u79df\u7d04\u7528\u5730\u800c\u8b8a\u5f97\u72f9\u7a84\u3002\u6211\u5011\u5df2\u5411\u5730\u653f\u7f72\u67e5\u8a62\u6709\u95dc\u77ed\u671f\u79df\u7d04\u7684\u60c5\u6cc1\uff0c\u7576\u4e2d\u9ec3\u7af9\u5751\u9053\u7684\u90e8\u4efd\uff0c\u6d77\u6d0b\u516c\u5712\u5df2\u7b54\u61c9\u7e2e\u6e1b\u82d7\u5703\u7684\u9762\u7a4d\u4f9b\u64f4\u95ca\u884c\u4eba\u8def\u3002<\/li>\n
          6. \u5c31\u6539\u5584\u6df1\u6c34\u7063\u884c\u4eba\u8def<\/strong>\uff0c\u9700\u8981\u6709\u5168\u76e4\u7684\u8a08\u5283\u53bb\u91cd\u65b0\u898f\u5283\u6df1\u6c34\u7063\u7684\u9053\u8def\u3001\u6cca\u8eca\u4f4d\u53ca\u5eb7\u6a02\u8a2d\u65bd\u3002\u6211\u5011\u6b63\u7b49\u5f85\u653f\u5e9c\u57282019\u5e74\u958b\u5c55\u7684\u300c\u6c23\u5019\u8b8a\u5316\u548c\u6975\u7aef\u5929\u6c23\u4e0b\u7684\u6cbf\u5cb8\u707d\u5bb3\u7814\u7a76\u53ca\u6539\u5584\u63aa\u65bd\u7684\u5236\u8a02\u300d\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u7d50\u679c\u624d\u9032\u884c\u9032\u4e00\u6b65\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u3002<\/li>\n
